Mind + Body

Wellness refers to the holistic approach in which mind, body and the emotional state are considered together. Though Mental Wellness is a relatively new concept, its relevance and its significance are very important.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

Physical wellness is prioritizing one’s general physical health, promoting a better body health, functionality, and endurance, thus gaining the ability to maintain a certain quality of life.

Physical wellness is the ability to maintain a healthy lifestyle that allows you to get through your daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress.

It is evolving as a significant priority for most millennials and for medical practitioners while advising their patients.

Community Wellness is very important in any society. It is just as important as personal wellness. Community Wellness is achieved by addressing Public Health issues.

Public Health issues include promoting and addressing the health needs of our community, Public Health includes surveillance, prevention and response to communicable disease outbreaks and other threats to health AND by introducing and reinforcing practices of personal hygiene for all ages and for all culturally-diverse groups of individuals. However, this will have to be achieved in a linguistically and culturally appropriate (and inclusive) manner.

It is important to provide scientific data, workshops, trainings, online resources, and, most importantly, a like-minded social community. Ultimately, we aim to cultivate a comprehensive platform where overall well-being is built on a foundation of inclusivity, with a community-like sense of belonging.
